| Synopsis:
This film follows the amazing evolution of a homeless
men's choir: from recruitment on the bread lines,
to the lights of the Montreal Casino's cabaret; from
isolation, to a sense of family and community; through
dramatic conflicts between Pierre, the idealistic
Mormon choir master, and Denis a blind singer who
fights to fully express his unique voice. |

DIRECTOR'S
BIO-DATA : Magnus Isasson was born in Sweden
in 1948 ut has been a Canadian citizen since 1978.
He has taught audiovisual production at the University
of Montreal and the history of documentary film
at Concordia University. He has worked in radio
and television and has been an intependent filmmaker
since 1986. He has made several films about Quebec,
a film about the Independence struggle in Namibia
and a film about war, famine and development in
Ethiopia. Many of his films deal with labour and
evnironmental issues.

| Synopsis:
Hidden in the middle of nisy, vibrant Calcutta
is a quiet oasis, the Tollgunge Home, a refuge for
35 destitue elderly Anglo-Indians. While post-colonial
India hrutles towards the millennium the residents
of Tollygunge cling to the belief that Britain is
their true home. A Calcutta christmas is a gentle
and moving how this lonely, forgotten community survives
through friendships, love and laughter… and a different
sense of belonging. |

DIRECTOR'S
BIO-DATA : Maree Delofski studied film production
and theory at New South Wales Institute of Technology.
She has made experimental, short drama and documentary
films including The Dockers' Film, Arise Ye Workers
and Bats Over Sydney. She has travelled extensively
through India presenting public seminars on Australia
cinema. She alos teaches documentary theory and
production at the Australia Film, Television and
radio School.

| Synopsis:
High up in his top-floor apartment a tenant sees
a woman falling off the roof from the building opposite.
Far away in the Prairies, a cowboy hears cries for
help from a woman tied down to the railroad track
while a train approaches. And deep in their cave,
seven dwarfs learn that Snow White is about to be
poisoned by a witch. They all run to the rescue; unfortunately,
they are not very successful. |

BIO-DATA : Born in 1940, Paul Driessen, has
not only directed "3 Misses" but has scripted and
done the animation. His films include: The Story

| Synopsis:
An adaptation o fSamuel Talyor Coleridge's The
Rime of the Ancient Mariner. The film is illustrated
by nineteenth century wood engraving. A ship sets
sail on an epic voyage through malignant natural and
supernatural elements, a journey man alone survives.
In this tale of ecological redemption, we see, in
addition, its mythic component; as an extraordinary
story which, in truth, mirrors the struggle faces
by every human being. |

DIRECTOR'S
BIO-DATA : Pual Bush was born in London in 1956.
He studied Fine Art at Goldsmiths College where
he has been teaching the Visual Arts Course since
1995. His work crosses the boundaries between fiction,
documentary and animation. His films have been shown
in festivals, exhibitions and on television all
over the world. He has won the gold plaque for short
drama at the Chicago Film Festival, and been awarded
prizes at Melbourne, Mumbai and Cinema Festivals.
The Albatross has already won przies at the Zagreb
Animation Festival and the Hiroshima International
Animation Festival.
